The Monitor screen is real pale blue. Pictures look like ghosts. I have tried screen resolution etc. but I don't know what I am doing I believe in you.

Hi Johnny, have you tried the monitor on another computer?
How old is the monitor/brand/type? Neil.

no I have not tried another monitor. It is a Dell flat screen monitor can't' get to the model # it's about 6 years old. But I am old too and I still work. the screen was pretty and bright, I went on Facebook chatting wit a friend and it just changed color. I have done an AVG virus scan and Malware bytes scan.

Good night. Will see you in the A.M.

Remove and re-seat both ends of the monitor data cable several times in an effort to clean the contacts.

If no change, try using the monitor's built-in OSD (on screen display) to adjust the brightness and contrast. You might also look to see if there might be a "reset to factory defaults" option.

If still no change, sounds like the monitor may be bad. One way to tell would be to connect it to another computer. If it also shows the same problem, it's time for a new monitor.

Evan; I am so dumb I haven learned to screen shot. Know how to make one but I have tied to follow instructions several times and just can't figure out what I am missing. "If at first you don't succeed try try again "
many thanks to each team member. Johnny
