Monitor saying "off mode"

I turned my computer on today to find the it doesn't go even come off stand by, then i press one of the buttons on the monitor and it comes up saying off mode. I've put the cord into the other input but it does the same. Any solutions?

 

lipsum, sorry but I couldn't understand what you are trying to say - is the computer off ? Is it in stand by mode ? Is your monitor in stand by mode?

If the monitor says off mode, I think it may not be getting the signals from the computer - normally it says 'No Signal'. What brand is your monitor?
