I just reformatted my mother's computer. The formatting went fine, but when the desktop came up, the colors were beyond awful and the screen resolution was huge. I went into Control Panel and tried to up the resolution and color but it's not an option. And I attempted to reinstall the driver but it won't reinstall. Any reason?

    Hello ericalynn,

Could you be more specific? You installed ME over what? Itself? And why?

When in the Control Panel > Display > Settings > bottom of panel > Colors and Screen Area:

You can't set the Resolution smaller? - slider to the left?
Colors - can't do 16 bit or 32 bit (better)?

    Advanced: look at the tabs:

Driver - Monitor - and so on, what are the settings?

What driver are you trying to install? From MS or OEM? (Video card MFG)

    Regards - Charles
