Monitor Problem

hi my monitor ViewSonic 19 inch CRT having problem,, when i trun cpu the monitor light is turn on and its green but the screen is black ...
what is the problem?..

 

Try running the monitor on another computer. I have a feeling you will find that the monitor is fine , but is not receiving a signal from the graphics adapter.

There are not many ways of resetting the graphics adapter. Is it an add-in adapter, built into the motherboard or does the motherboard allow both types? If it allows both, swap from one to the other and see if the monitor works.

If it is an add-in graphics adapter, you can try taking it out and cleaning the connectors with a pure form of alcohol.
