My son's monitor has resolution problems. I tried the trouble shooter and even downloaded an driver for his monitor (Dell 772c). I thought of a repair, but can't find the CD. Adaptor seems to be current.

    Any suggestions would be helpful

So what are the resolution problems?

A couple of suggestions though. Update to the latest graphics drivers.
I'm not sure of the specs of the 772c monitor, but suggest the following...
In the display properties set color (colour ;) ) to True Color (32 bit) and in advanced, monitor set the refresh rate to 85Hz. Anything above 85Hz is not really needed. Hard core gamers excepted. ;) In the monitor type try to select the appropriate model monitor if plug and play or standard monitor is displayed. A monitor driver (which you downloaded) may be needed if XP doesn't have it.

Thanks for the reply, but I realized the video card was the problem and I downloaded a new driver and am back in business.
