Monitor changed color

I don't know what key I hit but while I was typing I slipped and instantly my monitor changed colors. It is pink. I went to the control panel/ display to make the changes. I can change the colors of the text but what do I do to change the main body. In other words while I'm typing in the message area, it's pink, not the usual white. Also the icons on my task bar are a different color. How do I fix this mess?

Can you restore your registry ?

Right click on an open area of the desktop>properties>appearance tab.......select a scheme and apply. You can also select the items in the list and choose a color/font for each and save as any scheme you like. Hope it's as simple a problem as this!

 

Merlin I have never done anything with the registry. Can you give instructions?


Noah I have gone there but I'm don't understand some of the choices. I have been able to change colors on some of the "items ". I can't figure out which one would make the change in the color of this message area.

 

About the Monitor

Just wanted to let you know . While trying to move a folder the screen went from pink to green and then back to normal. Thanks all for the help.
