Monitor advice wanted

If you had to pick one of these 2 monitors which one is the better buy?

If you look at the testimonials of the Acer monitor over at Newegg, you'll see that there are about 780 of them and the average rating is 5 stars.

Since Newegg actually garnishes part of my paycheck every two weeks ( ) I can tell you that that means that the monitor is being purchased by MANY, MANY people. And, for something that averages 5 stars with that many reviews would lead one to believe that the monitor "walks on water ".

But it's always a good idea to read the testimonials as well. I sometimes find a deal breaker in them but not usually when they've given the item 5 stars.

And BTW, I just noticed that this monitor was awarded the Winner of Customer Choice Award for LCD monitors over at Newegg. Would you believe that I'm now trying to find out its native resolution? Now you've got me interested - sounds like a great monitor.

 

I looked around at some big online stores and cannot find any Sylvania LCDs other than LCD TVs. I think you will have trouble finding any review/testimonial info on this monitor to come to an better-informed decision. It's possible that they are a bit obscure.
