Modems problems

    I installed windows Xp on my gateway. Now it can not find a pci modem.
    I went to try to reinstall drivers but there were no drivers that could be found. any advice

    plug and play

    do you have plug and play enabled
    xp will find the drivers unless you want to install
    your own drivers.
    go to device manager
    and see if there are any yellow Q marks
    besides the modem
    or communication ports
    and if so up date the drivers.
