Modem troubles

    Hi there,

    I have formatted my computer and now I am experiencing modem troubles. It is telling me that ther eis an output code 04 error and that it cannot detect my modem. I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers with no luck. I have also checked my phone line and it is fine. I am running Windows XP pro and my computer is a Dell Dimension C521.

    Is it a Dell supplied modem? Can you tell us the make and model of the modem?

    Edit: Keep in the back of your mind that modems can suffer lightning strike, but don't panic yet.
