 Does anyone out there remember the AT command to force the modem to connect at 115200? I had it set on my old puter , running windows 98se years ago , and now I have a new one ---with xp. Still not used to the change but still want the speed . It worked well for me in the past , just can't remember the command string . Any input would be very much appreciated. Thanks

You can change the setting in device manager->Com Port Properties.

Note that this only changes the speed at which the modem communicates with the com port.

    Thats the easy part!!!!

The hard part ---like I had mentioned earlier , is ( FORCING ) the modem to ( C0nnect ) at the same speed that it communicates with the com port. There is an AT command for it ---I just can't remember it. !!! Something like AT&FX of similar. It goes in the extra settings box for the modem. Thanks tho for your input

    Hi,
Different modems (actually the chipsets) have different AT commands, a few are common. Put your model number and "at commands" into a google search. That should find it, or find another brand with the same chipset, but the AT commands will be the same.
