My modem, a Speedstream 5200 ethernet/ usb adsl modem and my Lexmark P 4350 printer will not work according to the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor. If this doesn't change, are there printers and modems that will work with Vista?

    fritz333 - Welcome to the Board :)

The Vista Upgrade Advisor is not always up to date.

From the Web I learned that Lexmark will provide Vista Drivers once Vista is finalised. Vista went RTM last week and my guess is that come January when Vista will be generally available Lexmark will have issued the drivers. I suspect the same scenario as regards your modem.

Vista drivers for my ADSL modem - Speedtouch 330 have just been released.

There's no reason it won't work IF you use ethernet instead of usb. AFAIK, that modem-router is usb OR ethernet. The reason for not being compatable w/ vista is the usb. But you don't have to use usb. External ethernet devices such as dsl-cable modem-router require no operating system compatabiliy or drivers, they function independantly of the operating system. If use the usb instead of ethernet then it becomes dependant upon operating system limitations.
