    Good evening all,
    I'm the owner of a MSI K7T Turbo2 MoBo ( Via KT133A).
I like to upgrade to a 266 or 333 chipset; but after the upgrade my Win98SE system didn't recognise my CD player so I was not able to install the new drivers.
Any suggestions on how to upgrade??( or is it not possible).
    Thanks in advance,
    Adrian

    Hello there,
So far I recieved no reaction, perhaps the discription of the problem was not clear enough.
With upgrading the chipset I mean upgrading to a NEW motherboard with the 266 or 333 chipset.
I expected to just change the motherboards, and then install the new drivers; but since the new motherboard (?) did not recognise the cd or dvd drives I was not able to install new drivers.
Somebody can help me with advice?
    Thanks, Adrian

Advos, if your swapping mobos, you need to do a full clean install of Win98SE. Don't try and do the swap without doing this - it's not worth the headache.

Did the CD player get plugged into the new MOBO? Cables OK?

How about the BIOS? Is the CD turned on?

What have youi checked so far?
