    Hi, I have a customers PC here testing it. When i power the system up all fans come on and the power/HD lights come on. But what i have never seen before is this...all 3 lights on the keyboard come on and stay on. There is no beep fromthe PC and no video. I have pulled the CMOS jumper and replaced it, i have unplugged all drives and reseated all hardware including the CPU and fan plus the RAM stick. I have changed out the video card but none of these fix the boot up problem.

    Please help.

    Thanks

    Jerry

    If you haven't already, try swapping the keyboard. A bad kb drive line will hose the entire machine and keep it from booting. Notice how quickly you receive a kb error when the kb is faulty ie: - 'Keyboard Error - Press Any Key to Continue'

    Is the keyboard a USB. If so it may be NO GO at boot up.

    If it is a PS2 keyboard is it plugged in the the right place. I refuse to discuss how I learned that.

    And I have run into at least one case where a regular keyboard plug adapted to PS2 does not work

    Yeah. Don't you just love that STUPID message ?. I has to be one of the dumbest of all error messages.

    If the Keybaord is not good how in heck am I supposed to make THE ANY key work.

    You would think someone would have had the sense to put a more realistic message.

    For example;

    Your keyboard has failed or not plugged in. You should try another or plug it in.

    hehehe ......... sounds like a bum keyboard alright! Brings a funny thing to mind - sometimes work on a couple of machines at once and will occasionally pick up the wrong keyboard - ****, nothing wants to work then. Go figure .....
