mobo-need a detailed diagram of pin assignments

    HELP! my first assembly of PC,only problem is,cannot get power connected right.

    But I need a detailed diagram of pin assignments

    for PCCHIPS M787clm ALL-IN-ONE m/b,“case switches,indicator LEDs to SW1 header

    not enough info in manual

    Cannot get power lines hooked up right to a jet shop ATX case,it has no diagrams or web site.its made in china-model A03

    You should not need pin assgnments!

    You may not have the correct PS for the mother board.

    Does it have a single wide connector or 2 small connectors.

    If 2 small connectors then plug in with the black wires of both meeting in the middle.

    Additionally to plug these dual connectors in you can not go stright in with the dual plugs they have to be almost sideways and rolled/folded in.

    A single plug will plug stright in and will only go 1 way!

    Anything else and you have the wrong PS.

    What about the questions I asked in your other post!

    I cant figure out what combination with turn PC on?

    this PS is built into the case.it must be ok, as I see LED come on,


    but I cant figure out what combination with turn PC on?

    on mobo,its 4 rows of 2 pins,with a 5th of 1 pin



    ,how are these 2 pin case swithches attached?


    As for stall on reboot-I solved it,by tightning the USB-PCI card

    Just because it came with the case doesn't mean the PSU is suited to your motherboard. Not every computer part produced is interchangeable...

    my mobo has 4 rows of 2 pins,with a 5th row of 1 pin

    how are the numbers set?

    Connect the case switches and indicator LEDs to the SW1 header. Here is the list of SW1 pin assignment.

    3 HDD LED 4 POWER(ACPI) LED
    5 RESET SWITCH 6 POWER BUTTON
    7 RESET SWITCH 8 POWER BUTTON

    There are a few manuals for boards with the M787cl designation and none that I can see for M787clm. The diagrams differ it seems.

    Look on the mb itself with a magnifying glass to see if the #1 and possibly another pin are numbered.

    Otherwise, you'll need to get a more detailed model number so the right manual can be selected.

    My GUESS:

    1 2
    3 4
    5 6
    7 8
    9 10 (empty one in this row)

    So it looks like 6/8 and 5/7.

    thanx,iv got pins connected correct ,I think,when insert power cord, hear familiar sqweak,but nothing turns on…….

    Better check everything from the beginning.
    Does the power supply come on when you press power switch?

    Are you sure the power is connected to 6/8 and not reset?

    Then you may have a VERY poor manual for MB and/or case.

    A good manual will have all pin assignmets clearly marked.

    A good case will have all plugs labeled.

    At least the new MB and case that I have were that way.

    There was no question as to what went where.

    Sometimes though if the plug is reversed on the pins, things won't work properly. I have done that.

    BTW. If you have an ATX case do you have both power plugs connected. One two row multli ( will not go in backwards ) and one 4 pin Plug ( I think it is 4 pins and will only go one way ).

    i see it ,out of PS,but nowhere on this lousey mobo,is there a place to insert it

    ill never buy another ****ty case,china made "jet shop" again or a PC Chips M787CL+ Motherboard



    manual was WRONG on pin assignments,as i found out hard way

    Hehehe ........ Easy now. you are getting an education.

    All the information you needed including your pinouts has been, is and will continue to be available on the web - you just need to know where to go to get it. And, you've gotten some pretty good assistance right here from this board.

    As to that extra 4 pin square power plug - that is a 12V connector required on some P4 boards. You probably have another 6 pin connector that doesn't make any sense either. Consider yourself lucky for getting something extra that you really didn't need.

    Now, as to the education - like it or not, you usually get what you pay for. Consider this an inexpensive lesson.
