    Welcome to WindowsBBS, Camille.

I did a Google search for the phrase "missing wmasf.dll" and came up with only ONE result. That result points to a "freeware" site that supposedly will let you download the necessary file. I don't trust 3rd party sites in general so I'm not going to post the address here. If you want to venture in the world of 3rd party sources for your software, then that will be your own risk. I don't want to point someone directly to a potentially harmful site.

The only suggestion I feel comfortable making is, if you're not running the latest version of Windows Media Player, then...

Run Windows Update to download and install Windows Media Player 10. When I downloaded it a week or so ago, I think I found it in the "Custom Install" section of Windows Update.

Perhaps that will take care of any issues you have with opening WMP.
