Windows Vista Missing Vista accessories and no trace of Windows Media Player

    Hi,

    I have noticed I am missing a lot of my Vista accessories and I can't think of why. See the following screenshot:

    There is no trace of the "Search" or "Run" tools :( . Does anyon here know any possible reason why these might be missing?

    Windows Media Player (I believe I had v11) is also missing from the quick access bar (can't remember exact name for this), and from anywhere in the Start panel. Before this and when it was available, when I clicked the icon to load the application (pointing to its .Exe, nothing would happen).
