Windows Vista Missing Recycle Icon On Desktop

    When I booted up my laptop the icon for the recycle bin was missing. The words "recycle bin" are still there and clicking on it allows access to the bin to empty, etc. How can I replace the icon on the desktop. This is most likely a very simple matter to computer gurus such as you guys but this is a "senior moment" for an old retired guy.
