    Hi
After carrying out a search to locate .pst files in Outlook 2003 the files are located at C:\Documents Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
This path use to be shown in explorer but now only C:\Documents and Settings\user\ is shown, the Local Settings folder is missing !
I have checked that the show hidden folders setting is checked in folder options, can anyone assist me to rectify this problem.

ps: Outlook works fine I just want to make a backup.

There are three "hide" type options...It's probably a system folder.

    Missing Local Settings Folder

Raymondo . . . I too have the same problem. But I found the folder using a "backdoor method." Since Outlook worked fine, I knew the folder was in soe subdirectory of the Documents and Settings folder. So . . . I performed a search of the C-drive and looked for the pst files. The search feature uncovered their location and displayed the "tree." If you right click the file, the top selection is "Open Containing Folder." Takes you right to the folder containg the pst file. From there, you can back up the file by chosing "Copy This File" under the File and Folder Tasks box. I would like to restore the visibility of the Local Settings folder, but I can't seem to discover the way to do it.
