For some odd reason, I've lost the checkbox on my logon display that says "Logon using dial-up connection ". I've tried the usual resources to fix the issue, such as Doug's and Kelly's tweaks, but nothing seems to fix the problem.

Fast user swithcing is turned off, as is the Welcome Screen. I've applied the registry tweaks for "RasDisable =0 ", "DisableCAD=0 ", "ShowLogonOptions=1 ", and "LogonType=0 ". It shows the "Options" button, but when pressed, the only thing it does is display/non-display the "Shutdown" button. I have a workgroup, as I do in my W2K OS, and the W2K OS shows the checkbox. I'd really like to get back the "Logon using dial-up connection"
    box back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried from the start=>run button doing
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
to see if the system file checker can locate and replace a damaged system file that might be causing the problem?

    I found this:
"If the computer is not a member of a domain, the Log on using dial-up connection check box does not appear. " and
    this:
"By default, when logging in, there is an option to Logon Using Dial-up Networking. This option can be removed through the following Registry entry:
    Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    Key: Software\Microsoft\Windowsnt\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    Name: RASDisable
    Data Type: REG_SZ
    Value: 1
A value of 1 removes the feature, a value of 0 (zero) enables it. "

    Responses to my question .....

Thanks for the help Newt, but already tried that one and didn't work. Also, Miz, I found that one too and tried it, but it didn't help. If I want it back, it looks like I'll have to join a domain, which I really don't want to do.

Thanks to both for the responses. If you can think of anything else, please let me know.
