    Firefox 25.0 Windows 8.1 with start8 installed.
When I first start FF after a boot, the bookmarks toolbar is not displayed. I click view, toolbars, and the bookmarks toolbar is checked, but not displayed. I have to remove the check mark for bookmarks toolbar, then check it, and the bookmarks toolbar will display.
I think this problem just started in FF 25. It was working correct a few days back when I installed FF 24. I am not sure when my laptop got upgraded to Firefox 25 so I can not say for sure that this problem just started with FF 25.
Any suggestions on what I should try to fix this?
    Thanks, Gordon

Hi Gordon, Open FF > Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox. This should return FF to Default without loss of History/Bookmarks. Neil.

Thanks for the help. First let me correct an error in my original post. It seems that I originally installed FF 25, not 24. So this problem had nothing to do with an update.
I went through your suggestions and my bookmarks toolbar has been displayed, as it should, after 4 restarts / cold boots. So something that you gentlemen suggested has fixed it. I will try to remember that reset Firefox option for the next time it gets messed up.
    Thanks again, Gordon
