Recently, I wanted to look at System Tools in Accessories. I have done this several times before but when I clicked on all programs, Accessories was nowhere to be found, I looked in trash in case I had somehow messed it up but nowhere to be found. I did a search and found only a folder on the desktop that had almost nothing of the original listing. Can Accessories be reconstructed and in the same location?

If you have no idea how this happened, you may have other problems, too, of which you are not even aware yet.

You could open Documents and Settings, All Users, Start Menu, Accessories and drag a copy to your account. It may not contain everything, but from that account, other accounts, and manually replacing other shortcuts, you can rebuild it.

Do you have the full XP CD, and if you have SP1 installed, do you have the SP1 CD?

What exactly was this thing you found on the desktop?
