Misleading advert.

    When I signed up last week to join this forum, a front page advert confronted me asking if I had a specific question to ask. Thinking this was part of BBS I put my question, and then was confronted by a nag screen asking me how much I was prepared to pay to get a correct answer to my question.
    I go on forums to get good free honest advice from my computer colleagues.
    In this instance I could not get out of this nag screen until I finally closed down my PC.
    I shall not be returning to this forum while ever I am confronted by such devious methods.

    I'm sorry for your experience. Unfortunately we don't have 100% control of the advertisements shown on WindowsBBS.

    We could investigate further if we had a screen shot and/or URL of the advert.
