    I've got a 36" Wide Screen that I can't seem to get mirrored from my laptop. I've got the correct driver (ATI Radeon HD 3200) installed, but not the additional control panel, which is apparently what's needed to tell it to mirror.

    I've already tried shutting down, connecting the VGA cable from the 36 ", turning it on, and unchecking "Extend this monitor..." (whatever), but it doesn't mirror, it just turns it off.

    I've installed at least 3-4 ATI Catylyst s'ware pkgs that I thought might install the control pnl, but no success yet.

    ANY HELP!:confused::confused::confused:

    You need to find resolutions on both screens that be handled by the graphics adapter.

    If there is a "black-out ", the graphics adapter cannot handle (the difference between) the different resolutions.

    The resolution isn't the problem. It recognizes the extension of the screen command (check box). What the ATI Catalyst s'ware does, as does all other graphics software, is it allows you to tell it to either show 1 or the other screen, mirror, or extend.

    I know this is a strange issue, but I've looked all over the web, and as I said, I have the driver, but not the control panel.

    Thanks,

    If using the external monitor connection built into your laptop.
    Might want to check your laptop manual.

    My old HP laptop uses the fn+f4 key to switch between monitors or enable both in mirror.

    Ephemarial,

    YOU ARE A GENIUS, MY MAN!:D:D:D I am SOO embarrassed that I forgot that trick since I supported Viewsonic monitors for 18 months, and I used to tell people that trick like 20 times a day. Go Figure...
