    Hi guys, first post here.

For some reason the minimise button on outlook thinks it is the close button, and similarly right clicking on the task bar tab and selecting minimise also closes it down which is very annoying.

Alt-tab switching, is fine and clicking on the task bar between programmes is ok too.

All other programmes work correctly, it's just Outlook.

    help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Are you sure it closes? Did you check the system tray?

Arie, good catch. I forgot about the option...

Outlook 2003 has a built in option to Minimize to the systray.

Outlook 2002 has a registry hack that will make it do the same thing.

You guys are hot, yes it is in the systray, I hadn't noticed it before.

I've got something to work on now, thanks!

    Fixed!!

Right clicking the icon in the taskbar gave the option "hide when minimised" so just unticked it! Duh if only all solutions were as simple as this:)

    Many thanks!
