I am using Mozilla 1.7.5 in 98SE. I frequent a site where they use an EMBED tag to play music while the lyrics are displayed. It works perfectly in IE6. In Mozilla, I get a rectangle telling me to get a plugin and saying click here when it is installed. I saw QuickTime was 1 of the 2 plugin choices offered. I already have QuickTime 6 installed (long before I got Mozilla), but I don't want to associate QT with .mid. I have thousands of saved .mid files, and QT is not my player of choice for them. Is there some other way to get Mozilla to play the music?

    Hotaru,

QT won't play embedded midi files, and you will need a plugin for Mozilla. I highly recommend Crescendo. You can download the plugin here:

Note: there are different downloads for specific OS'. The audio quality is excellent.

When you install the plugin, ensure that you point to the:
C:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla\plugins folder when asked where to install the plugin.
