Does printing a specific word document leave any traceable imprint/tag/code in the document itself. i.e I am trying to find out if a document has been printed by looking at the Hex code via Disk editor etc. Many thanks for any pointers (if any).

I don't know of any way to extract that information AFTER the idea, but if you want to do it in FUTURE documents, you could Insert-Field, choose date field, choose date printed. Then, select that field and make the text white so it never shows/prints. When you want to check the suspect document, just select the text and change the color.

The only other method I can think of is to open the file using "recover text from any file ", which shows a lot of metadata, but I don't know if it shows that specifically. Doubtful, because I've never heard of it, and I'm pretty good with Word.
