    Hi to you all.

I just wanted to see if anyone can help me with an runtime error i keep getting. The error occurs everytime I run Dreamweaver MX 2004. I am using Windows XP

This is what it looks like:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error!

    Program: ..ram Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX 2004\Dreamweaver.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this problem, will be very much appreciated.

    Neo

Check if some patch is available for Dreamweaver on the web site.

    What Can I Do?

    Hi, thanks for the suggestion.
But, I have already looked for any patches or updates about Dreamweaver.
This did not solve the error.

These are the things I have tried already:
-I have created a new administrator acount on my computer, and tried to run
    Dreamweaver.
    - I have completely uninstalled Dreamweaver and did a clean install - but
    problem still persists
    - I have removed all Java Runtime Environments, and again I installed them
    cleanly

The error mentions "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" <--- Iv been looking for that on the web, and I cant find it. Im not sure how to influence that runtime.

If anyone has an idea, please let me know. (my project is riding on solving this error) -

    cheers

See my post of 6 days ago re Runtime Library error. Try going into regedit and delete software references to Dreamweaver, then reinstall. It worked for me with my Lexmark all in one printer software. Working like a dream now.
