    Occationally when I start my laptop I get these errors. Please note that most of the time it starts normally, no error messages. Even when I do get an error at start up, the computer functions normally.

    The errror is
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error
    C:\Windows\kpicom.exe
    abnormal program termination

    or

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error
    C:\Windows\System32\RAMASST.exe
    abnormal program termination

    or

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error
    C:\ProgramFiles\Toshiba\ConfigFree\CFSServ.exe
    abnormal program termination

    or

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error
    C:\ProgramFiles\Toshiba\WindowsUtilities\HotKey.exe
    abnormal program termination

    Most of the time when an error message appears, it is only one, occationally there are two.

    Again most of the time it starts normally, so any ideas as to what might be the problem

    I would uninstall Toshiba's utility programs.

    For example, RAMASST.exe is used by Toshiba's DVD drivers. It is used to disable the XP built-in CD burning functions.

    CFSServ.exe seems to be used to substitute Windows Wireless networking.
