Hello again, just recently posted a problem with screen saver. Well here I am with one more problem that hopefully there is a solution.

My customer is on XP Pro SP-2 and when I go to install the Update Agent 3.0 it always fails. I would like for him to have Microsoft Update show him updates for Office 2003 also.

Should he more over to SP-3? I want to wait a bit before migrating him to the new SP. If anyone has any thoughts on this problem, please advise.

    Thank You,

    Victor

    Nothing done yet

Hello again, since the holiday weekend I have not been able to go to my customers house. I created a reply in my other thread.

Thanks again for your help, some good programs there. I have been hearing a lot on CC Cleaner especially at the Anti-AOL page journal page. The woman uses that to clean out AOL with a little help from JV-16. Anyways, once I get a chance I will try that and let you know the results.

You mentioned in the other thread that Arie had posted a fix for my problem with a link from Microsoft Website but I never saw it. If you could provide the link I would appreciate it.

He is still on SP-2. I will say this, from all the machines I have converted to SP-3 little to no problems. Once machine refused to install it so that will be dealt with later.

On Arie's post I mentioned that was not for you!

I confused it with another post that I was handling at the same time as yours.

Yes CCleaner is a very good cleaner and one of the safest Reg cleaners. I call it the gentle cleaner.:) But it is not as thurough as some but all most need.

JV-16 very good also more powerful, but the Registry manager installed software screen is pretty safe as long as you know what to delete from it. Comon sense if you have just uninstalled say AOL to go here and get the remains that point to AOL!

OK let us know what happens when you get there.
