    I uninstalled KB3139929 a search of installed update did not find KB3146449. Thanks MrBill.

    Your welcome. The one you found is for 7 and the other is for 8.1 At least that is what a Google search said.

    Might want to reinstall that IE security patch.
    My take on the pcworld article is:

    KB 3146449. "“ the windows ad - is part of the entire security update KB 3139929 and can’t be separately removed. That’s why couldn’t find it in installed updates.

    It’s the whole security update (with ad included) "“ or nothing.

    Then I chose nothing. I already completely uninstalled KB3139929. KB3146449 was offered to me as a separate download/install I didn't download nor install it, but I did hide it.
