Microsoft SideWinder Game Pad

    A visiting grandchild got a bit carried away playing a computer game and unpluged the game pad (Microsoft Game Pad Pro) from the UBS. After plugging it back it does not operate the games. I clicked as follows-Start--Programs--Microsoft Hardware--SideWinder Game Controller Software 4.0--SideWinder Game Pad Pro--Game Controllers. All the buttons, et show as responding. Please advise. Thanks, Craig

    You didn't say if you tried the control panel game controllers page. The game pad must be listed as the number one controller. My gamepad isn't USB but that shouldn't matter. You could try activating the game profiler again. Hope you get the thing going. I'd be lost without mine. sidermike
