Microsft Server 2003 standard sp2 issues

    hi there,
I just wanted to share with you a strange problem that i have with the SP 2 installation of Windows 2003, Recently I updated Windows 2003 with sp2 using windows updates on the web. The download and installtion went alright, but I cannot see it whe I type 'winver' command,
I previously didnt have SP1 installed, but As I understand SP2 is cummulative so it should have contents of SP1, Now I'am lost should I first Uninstall SP2 and then install SP1 and later install the same,so that I may have SP2 listed on the version list?
    Please post me your views,
    Thanks for your help
    Mathew
