Microsoft Publisher error "PTXT9.DLL"

Hi everyone
I have a Windows 98 SE operating system. My problem is loading disc 2 of Microsoft Office 2000 because of an error message involving file "PTXT9.DLL" The message states that I EITHER DON'T HAVE ENOUGH DRIVE SPACE OR THAT THE FILE IS CORRUPT. I know I have enough drive space because I have downloaded and installed other applications just fine since trying to install the MS Office 2000 software.
It is very frustrating because I just bought a Palm VIIx, and it seems that most of the downloadable software from their or any other supporting website involves MS Publisher compatibility. So, if I can't install MS Publisher on my computer, then I can't reap the full benefits of my Palm handheld.
