    Microsoft is now working on proposed future requirements for the "Designed for Windows" logo program for the next version of the Microsoft Windows operating system (currently code-named "Longhorn ").

    It's nice that Microsoft will "certify" that certain hardware will work with its operating system. But still, it really doesn't mean a thing. They have no control over production. Will they take responsibility if the unit doesn't work?
