My apologies if this has already been covered, but, if it has, I missed it in my search.

I understand there is a flaw in Outlook Express which allows Hacker's to easily spread viruses.

I am not sure what this is or how it works but it has something to do with accessing one's address book.

Can anyone tell me it the same flaw exists in Microsoft Office Outlook?

    Many Thanks.

There have been all sorts of flaws/holes/vulnerabilities in all the products designed to run on the internet. No way to be sure exactly which one you are thinking of but in general, Microsoft is pretty good about either plugging/patching/fixing the holes or else giving you directions for a work-around that will hold until they get a patch released.

Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express are such different programs (with such completely different address book designs) that it is highly doubtful an exploit that could attack one could also attack the other. Possible, I suppose, but rare.

If your real question was which email client is generally safer to use, right now I'd have to say that Office 2003 with the SP1 released a day or so ago is by far the most hardened email client Microsoft ever released.
