I downloaded a billing invoice from Microsoft to bill my customers, the issue is each time I open an invoice, any invoice, the date defaults to the current date.
I wrote up an invoice with the date of 5/23/11 and opened it today and the date defaulted to 5/24/11.
Where in properties can I correct this issue?
    Thank you,
    Brimis

I'm pretty sure in the original template is an "@now" type of formula that you'll have to remove and then you'll be able to manually type in the date.

    Ctrl+f11

You can also "lock" the field by left clicking on the date field and using CTRL+F11. To unlock use CTRL+SHIFT+F11. Search MSWord Help for "lock" then select "Lock and unlock a field ". Be sure to save your document after locking or unlocking the field or it will retain the last lock function you performed.

As Steve noted if you are using a template and want a permantent fix you have to open the template and change the field there. Other wise you can perform the field lock on each individual invoice document.

    Steve,
I know time is valuable, but I can't locate the "@now" formula within the properties.
