I am running Windows 98 S.E. and I want to install Office 2000.
Everytime I try to install it, it keeps coming up with a sign that says "internal error reported from the installer "
After this message, I get another message about fonts not being installed.
When I get through all this, Office 2000 un installs and re boots my machine asking me for a password.
I do not have windows password activated, so I don't know what password to put in.
I wind up having to format my hard drive and re loading windows.

Can anyone help me with this problem?:(

Before installing Office 2000 on Win 98se go to the Windows Update or the Office Update site (can't remember which site) and see if you need to upgrade the Windows Installer file.

I had to update this file before I could install Office 2000.

    Hope this helps.
