Okay, so I have been trying to figure out why alot of my stuff isnt working.
I found something online called. "Driver Detective ". So I downloaded it. Its supposed to find your missing drivers. Well, When i went to run it it tells me i need microsoft.net framework 2.0. I get that same error message when trying to install paint.net

But when i try to install it. It always tells me The installation of Microsoft.NET framework 2.0 appears to have failed.

I think if i can figure out what is doing that. I can get the rest of this stuff to work.
    :rolleyes::eek:

First: Stay Away from that software!

If you want to upsate drivers, visit the manufacturers website instead.

    Also, what's you OS?

Hi Toxic Rainbow. To find What Operating System you are using click Start< Right click My Computer and hit properties. Also try installing .Net Framework 3.5 from here.

Okay, So I tried to download it, and it says i need Microsoft,NET framework 3.0 first.
So, I went to download that and when it was almost done I got a pop up that says.

Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0 has encountered a problem during setup. Setup did not complete correctly.
An error occurred during setup and a report was created.

than there is a link that says "what does this report contain? " so i clicked it.

    It says
    "Error Signature "
    EventType : wap10setup P1 : 13165 P2 : 3.0.04506.30_waprtm_x86_sfx
    P3 : mc P4 : inst P5 : f P6 : sxsinstallca P7 : 1723
    P8 : 1603 P9 : - P10 : microsoft .net f

and there is a place that says "view contents of the report "
So i clicked on that and it has.
    C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\WLF432.tmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\SDB433.tmp

Ok try running the .Net Framework Cleanup Tool. Remove all versions of .Net Framework. After thats done you should upgrade your computer to Windows XP Service Pack 3. Once your computer is upgraded to service pack 3 try installing .Net Framework 3.0 again.

Ok, read this, Error occurs when you try to install Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 update.inf file is not correct. This article talks about Windows Server 2003 but it also applies to Windows XP.

Once you have followed that article click Start< Run and type services.msc and hit enter. Once the services window opens scroll down and make sure the cryptographic Services service is started and set to Automatic for the startup type. If the service isn't started then start the service.

Once you have verified that the cryptographic service is on Automatic and Started then reset the file and folder permissions by reading this, When you try to install a Windows XP Service Pack, you receive the error message Access is denied or Service Pack installation did not complete.

After you reset the file and folder permissions reboot the computer and then attempt to install Service Pack 3.
