Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 - Uninstall

    I am using Windows XP Pro.

    Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 is listed in the Add/Remove Programs of my Control Panel, but when I try to remove it I get the message - "Setup cannot uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework because it is not installed ".

    I tried repairing the installation but this did not take.

    Would anyone have any ideas as to how I can remove this?

    Does it show as a download when you perform a windows update?
