I've been using Microsoft Money 2003 for the last nine years. I use it mainly for the check register to keep track of checks and debit card purchases. Normally when I enter a transaction I use the transaction forms at the bottom of the page. I click on Withdrawal, New, then in the Pay To line I type the first letter of whomever the payment was made to. For example, if I wrote a check to Verizon, I type V, then all of the payees I've ever paid that start with V appear and I click on the correct one, in this case, Verizon. This keeps me from having to type the payee every time, which is a big help.

Tonight for some reason, when I click on the Pay To line, five random payees appear. When I type V, for example, the list of V's doesn't appear. This is annoying and puzzling to me.

I realize this is an old program, but I am very comfortable and familiar with it and have nine years of data invested in it. I'm wondering if any other dinosauers out there still use it and might have some idea why this is suddenly happening?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Bucksone, I haven't used MS Money but I wonder if it has a Repair under Tools or Help as 2003 MS Word has. Neil.

It's called Detect & Repair under Help. Just had to have a look on wife's comp to clarify.

Unfortunately there is no Detect and Repair option. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Wow! That's quite a list of FAQ's! I'll try to sort through it tomorrow. Thanks for the link.

So, today everything is back to normal, without me doing anything. If it's not broke, don't fix it , I guess.
