    I am setting up a new PC with Microsoft Live Onecare 90 days trial.

    Two problems found:
    1. unable to sign in iTunes Store;

    2. unable to sign-in Windows Live from http://support.microsoft.com/q&s/default.aspx...

    For one above, iTunes gives "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out. "

    For two above, Windows says,

    "Windows cannot connect to the Internet using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP. This is probably caused by firewall settings on this computer. Check the firewall settigns for the HTTP port (80), HTTPS port (433) and FTP port (21). "

    The computer is running:
    - XP SP2
    - D-Link AirPlus G 54 Mbps connecting to D-Link DSL-G604T. (other computers have no problem so far, using other wireless cards)
    - Microsoft Live OneCare (other computers are using other Firewall products without any problem).

    I turn off OneCare and tried again but results are the same.

    What's the problem and how to fix it?

    Hi IvanH,

    I think that you are getting off lightly with your One Care problems! I lost all ability to get on line when I trialed it. In the end I dumped it, but one thing to watch out for is that One Care's installation will automatically take the cost from your credit card again after a year if you don't search the web form and tick the right box.

    Roger;)

    That's too bad! I couldn't remember that I had given them my credit card details... I have to check it over. Thanks.
