BIG MISTAKE. Am running Win 98SE and Mozilla 1.7.3 and while reading a news site a box popped up wanting to install the Chinese Simplified font, I downloaded and installed the same. I did so because my brother is a missionary in China. But now I see no way to uninstall the same and a box is now in my toolbar in lower right of screen. I find out now I can't use in Mozzila email or Word 97. Anyone know how to uninstall? In add/remove program there is unstall for Chinese Language support but does not remove it.

There are a couple things to try. Control Panel\Keyboard, click on the Language tab, if Chinese is there remove it.
Then Control Panel\Add Remove Programs, click on Windows Setup tab, take a look at Multilanguage Support.
Do you have Internat.Exe loading at startup?

In window setup the multi language support is not checked. In the control panel/keyboard there is nothing but English. Internet.exe is not in the start up.
    It's a bummer.Ha

    Markp62,
When I looked at the ctrl/alt/del screen the internat was loaded. I had miss read your reply and was looking for internet.exe. What is the internat.exe? Is there a way to uninstall the IME 5.02 for Chinese?

Internat.Exe is what makes your keyboard work with Multilanguage Support, remove from startup and the chinese thing should go away. As far as IE is concerned, it will not be called up unless some page needs it.
As far as uninstalling it, I am at a loss to help you. Add/Remove probably failed you because what it is calling up is not there to be used.
But look here in the registry if you feel comfortable doing this. Start\Run, type in Regedit and press Enter
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
One of those folders will say chinese support, click on it and look for this in the right pane of Regedit, look for QuietUninstallString or UninstallString, the command on this line could be entered in the Run line by copying or pasting. What you want to be copy and pasting looks something like this. This is not the command, just an example.
    rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSectionEx C:\WINDOWS\INF\unie5bak.inf,,,256
