Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 (and other Flight Simulator versions) now hangs when the flight screen comes up. The blue screen of death indicates an "exception OE has occurred at 0028:FF19736B in VxD. This was called from 0028:C00AEE34 in VxD ". I have reinstalled Windoes ME, drivers for G-Force 3, Direct X 5.0 (and 9.0), video drivers and sound card drivers...with no improvement.

    Any suggestions?

    Welcome to the board Jim.
You say your reinstalled ME. Was this a repair install (over the top) or a reformat and reinstall? If only a repair install then suggest you completely uninstall FS2002 and reinstall it.

So you are using the latest NVIDIA GF3 drivers? Have you tried the reference drivers for ME?

    Thanks for the PM Jim,
But I'll keep my reply on the board if you don't mind.
I'd still try the reference drivers from the link in my above post, instead of the drivers that shipped with your install. Have you installed the latest directX 9.0C? I gather it's available for ME as well as other OS's?
