    I use windows XP.
I am confused. I have 2 email addresses [a hot mail address and a yahoo address] that are used from this computer with microsoft skydrive and microsoft email. I am not clear whether they relate to a single microsoft account, [as they seem to onemail] or to 2 distinct accounts [as they do on skydrive]. Any clarification gratefully received.

The sky drive accounts are clearly separate , as they show different content However the emails seem to have been merged.I cannot check via content of the inbox as both emails are automatically forwarded to gmail addresses.

when I log in to microsoft email I get a page called microsoft outlook. the hotmail address is usually shown on the microsoft account page as primary alias However if I my husband [in the same browser] logs in with his yahoo.co.uk address [as far as I know this is nothing to do with the hotmail] this shows his yahoo adddress in top right but the accounts page but sometimes shows my hotmail address as his primary alias and sometimes his yahoo address as his primary alias. Are we in fact logging into the same inbox. .I do not think that my hotmail inbox should have access to my husbands yahoo emails.
The hotmail email also shows a yahoo email address as something to do with security. but I do not understand this.

You are not logging into the same inbox. You have your user name and password and he has his. You should not be seeing one another e-mail anywhere there.

There is no more Hotmail. It is now called Outlook. Just a name change for some unknown reason by Microsoft. I still use my Hotmail info to log into it and haven't changed it to Outlook.
