Has anyone figured out how to sort the Favorites/Bookmarks in Edge?
Right now all the Folders are at the bottom instead of the top like IE.

Have you clicked on 3 dots (upper right) > Settings > Add Favorites Bar? Neil.

That's a good suggestion but still they are not sortable.

I'm not happy with MS on this OS either, been working with it as an upgrade and a clean install and have found so many issues. I was hoping for another Windows 7 type release but this is a thumbs down.

I bought Vista and scrapped it and went back to XP. Then Windows 7 came and I've been in love with it. Windows 8.0/8.1 I bought and that was a F'up too so went back to Windows 7. Now Windows 10 is not looking too good now.

May be time for Apple or Linux before too long.

Can't you just grab them and drag them to the top? I can!

I was merely pointing out the path in windows explorer for posters who wish to sort ther favorites. It is easier to use this symbol imo, especially when I type with my nose and elbow. :)

Okay, so Edge stores the favorites in a different folder than IE; all the same bookmarks when imported from IE. However when opened in Edge all the folders are stuck at the bottom and I want them at the top for quick access.

    Edge:
    C:\users\*Username*\Appdata\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default

    IE:
    C:\Users\*Username*\Favorites

Here is another problem that I thought would be a work around, tried setting IE as the default browser but for example every time I click a link in Outlook it has a popup asking which browser to use.

Another problem is can't eject external USB hard drives - no option to do so.

I'll give it a few more days and if I'm not satisfied then I'll run:

    C:\diskpart
    select disk 0
    clean all :D

:D That's works for USB thumb drives but not USB hard drives.

Are you running Windows 10? Are you testing your fixes?

    Yes and Yes.
Have you closed your USB HDD? But I haven't got a USB HDD to test only USB Thumb drives and it sure works for them.
    Have a look here:
Open Explorer > click on drive (USB ext) > Right click > Properties > Hardware > click on drive > Properties > Change Settings > Policies > Quick Removal (Default)
If the External drive light is inactive - should be safe to remove. Neil.

    Hi,

I got everything sorted but the first comes out at the bottom. I then found the folder that contained the Favorites and clicked on the name so they showed up in reverse order. That didn't do an good as they still came up in reverse alphabetical order.

At this stage, it seems the only way to sort them is one at a time which is asinine.

Is there any way to sort these so it starts with A and ends with Z rather than the other way around?

I tinkered around a bit more and now they are in order but it was a struggle to get there!
