Microsoft Critical Update KB832894

I just downloaded a critical update from Microsoft - KB832894. I run Windows 98SE. Now, when I go to a site to order something, I can get no further than signing in, putting an article in the basket--it won't complete the order. Any ideas?????

DiD you reboot after installin the patch?
Does this happen when you go to any site or just a particular one?
Maybe you are the first person to find a bug with the new patch. If the problem is all sites, go back to Windows Update and you will find a button on the left side for Help and Support (I think). MS offers free support (by email) for problems connected with Security patches.

Form Posting Problems - IE Critical Update KB832894

I am a programmer and manage a secure ordering site, and I have experienced similar problems. I have installed the patch, rebooted, and was experiencing problems with submitting forms on secure pages. The problem is intermittant, and does does not occur using Netscape. It stopped occurring once I removed the update. After re-installing the update, I encountered the problems again.

I did some tests/debugging, and found that form data would not always be passed. I was submitting forms using the POST method.

Do you mind telling me what site you were experiencing problems with? Did you have the problems after rebooting? The tough thing is that it seems to be an intermittant problem, so you may not encounter it again.
