Recently, Microsoft came out with a update for this. Since installing the update my everyday checks for new spyware definitions fail to install even though the program says it has. Right now my definitions are version 5725. I downloaded and installed version 5729 twice. Today when I checked for updates I downloaded from 5725 to 5731. After rebooting, I tried again and again I downloaded 5731. Since installing the new update the program fails to install. How can I correct this? Just go back to the origional version? Thanks.

Your best bet is to uninstall MSAS, reboot and install the latest version of the program from scratch.
