I have been having this problem with the previous Access and the same with Access 2003.

I create a form using the label wizard and have the correct label chosen. It should create 10 rows of 3 labels, a total of 30 per sheet. It prints fine EXCEPT the last row of labels is left blank: only 9 rows are printed. No entries are skipped just leaving 3 blank labels on each sheet. The preview shows exactly what prints with that large bottom margin left.

I did check the Page Setup to be sure it was correct and it does indicate the minimum .55 inch

Do other label formats work properly or do they all tend to leave you the gap at the bottom?

I only see four reasonable possibilities for the behavior.
    - print drivers so maybe try removing the printer and reinstalling with a fresh set of the latest drivers.
    - a glitch in Access2000 (or whatever you had before) in a section that wasn't changed with the upgrade. Try removing Access completly and doing a fresh install.
    - bad spooler-related files on the PC. Need your OS version to offer suggestions on dealing with that.
    - a pure printer problem. Is there any way you could try labels with a different printer (hopefully a different model as well)?

ALWAYS HAPPENED BEFORE WITH WIN98 AND DIFFERENT PRINTER
ALSO, TRIED WITH A DIFFERENT SIZE LABEL AND SAME THING HAPPENED; ONE ROW OF LABELS MISSING EVEN WITH A 3" X 5" LABEL

What is the paper in the printer when you start to print ?
    - A bought page of labels stuck on a sheet so that you can peel
    them off ?
    - a plain sheet of paper - you have to cut out the labels and
glue them eg on to envelopes ?
    - what make of printer is it ?
    regards

tenbob - certainly hope someone will happen along with an idea about the cause and maybe even a fix. I'm pretty much out of ideas myself except for a kludgy thing that may be worse than the problem itself.

Word and Excel will both do labels and Access will export data to both of them.

And a question - are you getting all the labels printed you are calling for and just having to waste the bottom row or does Access think it's putting stuff on that bottom row?

All the labels I want are being printed. Just wasting labels

Are there HELP instructions for Excel or Word doing labels or is it an undocumented feature?

I asked this before - what is the printer make/model ?
The reason I asked, is that I think maybe it's settings need adjusting.
    regards

Has been some time since I played with Access, but I do remember having a similar problem I think I fixed it by doing the following:

There is a setting in properties that will "keep together" information in a section on a MS Access report. To get to it, in design veiw, right click on a blank area of the report section (the part with your labels in) click on Properties then scroll up/down till you see the line with "Keep Together ". Make sure this line says "yes ". That may or may not do the job for you. Also make sure you move the bottom bar of the section up tight against the label templates.

    Thanks but did not work.

Changing the together parameter made no difference and moving the location of the text block within the label form gave me more on the page but in the wrong locations.
