Microsoft Access Jpeg Troubles !!

Ok !! Clean and simple

Have to create a small catalog, 3 fields, name , ITEMCODE and picture

Picture -> Jpeg Format

Now Microsoft Access , doesn't allow me to load JPEG files directly ,

found an article here ..

which allows to load images wihout STORING THEM in the datbase , but I get errors, I did a post at tek forums , got replies but then the dude forgot to responds

I have tried other programs like FileMaker Pro(very good, but doesn't allow u to xport images out afterwards) and ORACLE (works , but is too complicated)..

If u know anyother program worth trying please lemme know

I have to create reports also , using above data also , therefore Access is my first choice. like

Picture --- Name - Item Code

 

Did you follow the suggestion made in that thread to go to http://members.tripod.com/accdevel/imaging.htm and download an example of what you are trying to do?

Even if you don't understand all the technical parts of image storage, you should be able to duplicate the technique used in there and have what you want.

Failing in that, I would suggest a good book on advanced access use or a class or something.
