    Hi Auntie Liv and welcome,

It's quite possible that you have a virus on your drive. The csrss.exe file does not belong in the folder you indicate. Perhaps one of the moderators will move your post to the Security forum here and you'll get quicker service.

I find that file is normally located at:

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\csrss.exe for the active copy.

There are other inactive copies at:

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\dllcache\csrss.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\csrss.exe

If you do a drive search and find it anywhere else, it's probably a virus.

If you have recently run an anti virus program and it cleaned this infection and you still get some error message regarding it, you will need to get some guidance as to how to proceed.
